Ellison 6 is a thirty-six-bed adult inpatient orthopedic/urology/surgery unit. The patient population includes orthopedic and urologic patients who are post-surgical intervention and pre-surgery from Emergency Department, front door or clinical admissions. Fast paced, exciting environment. Ellison 6 is seeking a Unit Coordinator, with Night weekend availability, and to provide holiday coverage.

Schedule (3) 8-hour shifts or (2) 12-hour shifts Nights | 7p - 7a; 11p-7a 24 hours Weekends only What are we looking for?
As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in patient care by serving as the central source of information by communicating with patients, families, and medical staff. You will transcribe medical charts for patients to ensure that all their medical treatments and procedures are carried out. The position requires a high degree of accuracy and strong communications skills.

Qualifications Skills

Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
• Preferred: Associate degree; 1-year clinical experience
• Required: High School diploma or GED required; Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience; Computer skills necessary (word, excel, and ability to learn MGH systems)
