Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first CenterWell, a Humana company, offers unpaid Pharmacy Technician Externships for AZ College students who are currently enrolled in their Pharmacy Technician program. During your time with CenterWell, extern students will rotate through various Pharmacy stations within a mail-order pharmacy setting and work alongside Pharmacy Technicians under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Role Responsibilities: Work in a mail order distribution center in a non-customer facing role Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and Company regulations. Prepacking of stock including preparation of equipment and pre-pack labels, packaging and labeling of product for bar-code scanning, and quality control procedures. Stock control functions including stock level audits, expiry date checking, stock file maintenance, and maintenance of internal stock movement. General cleaning of work area and general maintenance of equipment and materials. Maintains knowledge of loss prevention techniques Shadowing opportunities with various departments Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications: Must be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician certification/degree program that is affiliated with AZ College Must complete and pass Humanas background check and drug screen Must adhere to attendance policy Must have a technician in training license Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Warehouse experience Additional Information: This is a temporary unpaid position to meet AZ Colleges Pharmacy Technician program requirements of externship hours.
