What you will do
EY Indirect Tax provides a wide range of domestic and international tax services, assisting clients with state income tax, sales and use tax, property tax, credits & incentives, value-added taxes, global trade, employment tax, transactions and more across a variety of industries.
As an Intern in our Indirect Tax practice, your role will include:
Building a broad base of knowledge and technical competence by staying current on trends, developments and technical authorities, applying them to complex situations impacting both direct and indirect taxes.
Conducting in-depth research and analyzing client issues to better understand and address client needs.
Building client relationships, demonstrating knowledge of client business and delivering high-quality, timely services that surpass client expectations.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrating professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products.
Contributing to team success by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery.
Job requirements and preferences
Required qualifications
A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, International Business, or a related field; or an advanced degree in Tax or Law.
A strong academic record including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position.
Excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic MS Office tools, and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $32.69 - $40.87. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.

Our expectation is for most people to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
