This is a full-time (40 hours per week) role. Shift is days with no weekends, holidays, or call. This position serves as an experienced vascular technologist and is required to perform all aspects of non-invasive vascular testing including but not limited to; Venous insufficiency studies, PVRs w/and w/out ex, renal and mesenteric duplex, AVF and AVG, BPG, Arterial duplex, venous duplex, venous mappings, and carotid duplex. This position may also require traveling to any of our many out-patients Health centers. Assists in education of medical staff and students, collaborate with other departments with participation in research projects. Participate in our monthly system quality meetings. Assist with billing and coding reconciliation. Must maintain active RVT/VT status, meet or exceeds IAC continuing education requirements.
Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications: Education High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and Graduate of an accredited Vascular Technology Program or accredited Sonography Program with cross-training in vascular technology (Required) Work Experience 2+ years experience in non-invasive vascular testing, preferably in a hospital setting. (Required) and Have an understanding of the vascular QA and IAC accreditation process.
