Position Overview:
We're seeking a Venue Supervisor for our busy sports bar and restaurant. This role is ideal for someone with hospitality experience and a passion for sports, eager to lead and enhance guest experiences. The Venue Supervisor will oversee daily operations and work collaboratively with the management team, reporting directly to the Venue Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Sports Engagement: Use your sports knowledge to connect with customers, enhance their viewing experience, and create an exciting atmosphere. Manage sports event nights, ensuring TVs are tuned to key games.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate staff to deliver excellent service. Conduct pre-shift meetings on specials, sports events, and service standards. Provide ongoing training and feedback.
Oversee the restaurant floor, manage seating, and ensure efficient food and beverage service. Resolve any issues to maintain guest satisfaction.
Inventory Control: Monitor and manage food, beverage, and supply inventory. Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to meet demand during sports events and peak times.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all food and beverages meet our high-quality standards. Regularly check and coordinate with the kitchen and bar to address any issues.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, addressing inquiries and complaints professionally. Use your sports knowledge to engage guests and enhance their experience.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations through regular inspections and staff training.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a sports bar or similar setting.
A strong passion for sports and the ability to engage customers and create a lively atmosphere.
Excellent leadership skills, with the confidence to make decisions and lead a team independently.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency.
Exceptional customer service skills, dedicated to providing a memorable guest experience.
Familiarity with inventory management and cost control.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with sports events and business needs.
