Candidates for the Vice President, Conservation Action position should have a minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, and a proven track record in strategic management and organizational stewardship. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, a high level of adaptability, and resilience, and proficiency in operating within matrixed organizations. Strong advocacy and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to foster collaboration and manage a high-performing team. A passion for conservation and a deep commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging are also required. The role demands a significant amount of travel, and the candidate should be prepared to spend 30-40% of their time on the road.
