This role is pivotal in influencing the strategic direction of the business, with a primary focus on owning financial models, managing budget and forecasting processes, and defining frameworks for capital and resource allocation. The successful candidate will be a valued partner to business leaders, providing financial insights, business modeling, and decision support. Collaboration across the organization is essential to develop financial analyses for new initiatives, product pricing, and performance measurement. The VP of Finance will also be responsible for communicating financial results to leadership, preparing materials for the Executive team, Board of Directors, and investors, and driving financial education and performance across the organization.
Candidates for the VP of Finance position should have at least 8 years' of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or private equity, with a preference for those with start-up experience. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred. Advanced Excel skills, financial modeling expertise, and experience with NetSuite and Looker are highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of using financials to tell a story, be a self-starter with attention to detail, and possess excellent presentation and communication skills. Executive presence, the ability to partner with C-level executives, and a background in healthcare or growth stage venture-funded companies are also important. An interest in health, wellness, and the future of healthcare is a plus.
