The successful candidate will be a key player in the Client Coverage Group, supporting the Managing Director in the strategic execution to enhance client relationships and expand the company's presence in the insurance sector. This role demands a dynamic individual with a strategic mindset, capable of leading sales and distribution initiatives, and possessing a deep understanding of the insurance market to effectively position the company's products and services. The VP will be responsible for driving business development, collaborating with senior leadership, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies.
Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree being preferred, and must hold Series 7 and 63 licenses. A minimum of 10 years experience in investment management or the insurance industry is required, with a proven track record in sales and client relationship management. The role also requires a strong understanding of insurance company needs, particularly across balance sheet and annuity platforms, and experience in ETF sales, insurance-sensitive products, and fixed income is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, and should be adept at cross-functional collaboration and have the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with clients. Investment industry designations such as CFA or CIMA are a plus, and a dedication to ethical conduct and risk management is essential.
