The successful candidate will be a key leader with a strong background in advising on complex M&A, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions, as well as securities reporting and corporate governance. This role requires a passionate individual with a JD from an accredited institution, a minimum of 10 years' of experience, and a proven track record of legal expertise in M&A, securities law, and corporate governance. The VP will be responsible for developing and implementing legal strategies for M&A activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and supporting the company's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing M&A transactions, particularly within the technology or financial services sector, and will possess excellent writing, analytical, negotiation, communication, strategic thinking, and presentation skills. They will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer, the Board, and various internal and external teams, and must be adept at leading comprehensive due diligence processes, identifying and assessing legal risks, and managing external legal counsel. A strong understanding of corporate and securities laws, regulations, and industry standards is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The role also involves post-merger integration support and various other duties as assigned.
