The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work, and driving growth opportunities. This role involves setting the strategy for the event business, managing the events team, and overseeing business development activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining strong client relationships, the ability to manage talent and team development, and experience with online event tools and platforms. Additionally, the role requires the design and implementation of process improvement efforts, influencing decision-making, and contributing significantly to new business.
Candidates for the Account Director position should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, with at least 8 years' experience in communications. A Ph.D. can be substituted for some of the required experience. The role demands a candidate who is proactive, accountable, and can lead a team to meet client needs. Preferred qualifications include a Certified Government Meeting Planner (CGMP) certification and experience with federal clients. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to influence change, and will embody the values of the company, including a commitment to cultural competency, health disparities, and accessible design in communication and marketing strategies.
