Vice President of Business Development
to drive our growth strategy and oversee our sales team. We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead our sales efforts, foster relationships, and strategize for success.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Manager of Sales and sales support teams to achieve annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans, assess costs, and analyze competition.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and professional networks.
Analyze sales and operational records to project sales, determine profitability, and identify new markets.
Understand customer needs and recommend products or services to meet those needs.
Develop marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and introduce new offerings.
Collaborate with other managers to set sales goals, monitor progress, and develop customer retention strategies.
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement training, strategies, and policies to maximize productivity.
Stay current with industry trends and competitors to identify improvements and recommend new products.
Provide leadership and motivation to the sales team, ensuring quotas are met.
Identify the developmental needs of team members and provide coaching or mentoring.
Participate in the hiring process and train Merchant Services Consultants.
Organize and oversee schedules, territories, and performance of sales employees.
Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Schedule and direct regular sales meetings and events to share information and increase morale.
Handle employee discipline in accordance with company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a sales director or a VP level.
8-10 years of Merchant Services experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of marketing strategy, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
Proficiency in business and management principles, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
Excellent verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Strong sales and customer service skills, with proven negotiation abilities.
Advanced math skills for budgeting and data analysis.
Excellent supervisory, leadership, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
Persuasion and critical thinking abilities.
Thorough understanding of company products/services and market competitors.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently while traveling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Outgoing and proactive personality.
Other Requirements:
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
Regular travel throughout the region is required.
Valid driver's license.
