Vice President of Finance - Supply Chain & Enterprise FunctionsWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Finance - Supply Chain & Enterprise Functions to join our team. In this role, you will be a strategic thought-partner driving transformation and execution of global finance activities across the enterprise including system and decision support for Supply Chain and Operations function, Gear Up transformation initiatives, licensing partnerships, as well as leading our Enterprise SG&A (Legal, HR, IT, Finance) management reporting, budgeting, strategic planning, business analysis, system and decision support.
This position will be a key partner to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, Chief Human Resource Officer, Head of IT, and the Head of Licensing, helping to drive transformation initiatives. The incumbent will partner closely with enterprise and platform leadership to continuously drive the business and improve growth and profitability through a process of financial planning, analysis, and risk management. This includes analyzing the impact of business strategies and initiatives.
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer based in Providence, Rhode Island.
As the Vice President - Supply Chain & Enterprise Functions, you will have an opportunity to: Financial Leadership: Provide leadership, strategy, support, and financial integration across all aspects of the Supply Chain and Operations Function, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and financial commitments in support of Gear Up.
Team Development: Manage and develop the Finance team through collaborative planning and comprehensive understanding.
Organization Structure: Build out the organization structure to effectively support the standup of the Global Operations & Supply Chain organization, driving results and optimizing performance.
Operations & Supply Chain Standup Support: Collaborate with the GOSC team to design, validate, reconcile, warehouse/inventory strategy, transformation initiatives, cutover strategy to support the global network, and freight payment provider setup.
Financial Processes & Improvements: Develop robust processes and drive improvements to support global and regional financial reviews, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting. Enhance systems, processes, and reports to improve the quality and effectiveness of financial information to aid enterprise management and control of the business.
Financial Dashboard: Lead efforts to develop an enterprise financial metrics dashboard (Distribution and Manufacturing Fixed and Variable cost per unit, order, line; value capture; inventory and working capital performance, etc.) to support the Global Supply Chain and Operations team in meeting their financial commitments.
Inventory Management: Support inventory efforts and reporting to complete inventory build for continuity, and trade regulations. Align on the ramp-down strategy for inventory targets post-separation. Govern inventory accuracy results aligned with audit compliance and policies.
S&OP Support: Provide financial leadership and support to the Global Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including reconciling financial forecasts with demand forecasts and supporting financial assessments to drive decisions on consensus forecasts.
Budget and Forecast Planning: Lead and execute the development of a strategic annual budget and forecast planning processes, including monthly reporting and management of actuals versus forecast, with key drivers and risk and opportunities assessment. Direct the preparation, review, and presentation of monthly financial results to executive management for all enterprise functions.
Service Agreements: Support Supply Chain Transition Service and Logistic Service Agreements, partnering with cross-functional partners on projections, budgets, and actual tracking.
Key Initiatives: Provide financial leadership for key supply chain initiatives, including contracting bidding activities and ongoing continuous improvement assessments.
Global Supply Chain Acumen: Strong domain acumen in Manufacturing, product costing, and absorption management, along with expertise with managing distribution center optimization initiatives and developing business cases to lean out operations while improving service to our customers.
Process Improvement: Enhance systems, processes, and reports to improve the quality and effectiveness of financial information to aid management and control of the business.
Reporting: Manage the generation of timely and accurate reporting and critical analysis associated with opportunity/risk. Report on the identification and measurement of this information as it relates to and impacts annual plans to support executive decision-making.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams in forecasting and demand planning to ensure financial, sales, and demand planning forecasts align with maximizing sales and minimizing working capital investment.
Master Data: Maintain accuracy of master data, such as cost center allocations and employee-cost center assignment.
You have: Minimum 10+ years of progressive planning and financial analysis experience in a consumer products manufacturing/sourcing company.
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the Supply Chain function.
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
Experience with SAP, Oracle, and other manufacturing ERP systems.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen in combination with the ability to be both business partner, supporter as well as challenger of peers and executives.
Experience with global supply chain network flows with associated knowledge of tax, trade, and regulatory implications of flow, mode, and node changes.
Expertise developing financial governance processes and consolidating multiple ERP and financial reporting across businesses.
Displays leadership courage and composure under pressure and can multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines and work under pressure analytically and systematically.
Strong business acumen with an ability to rely on judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Strategic thinking with strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible to adjust priorities based on business needs while working independently within deadlines by taking initiative, planning, and communicating appropriately.
Proven management experience; able to align resources to outcomes, develop collaborative relationships across peers and partners, and able to inspire followership across your team.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen in combination with the ability to be both business partner, supporter as well as challenger of peers and executives.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Some domestic travel may be required (less than 20%), potential for one or less international instance per year.
You might have: CPA or MBA.
