The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the resolution of daily unscheduled maintenance events, coordinating various maintenance activities, and ensuring the timely return to service of aircraft. This leadership position demands effective communication, collaboration, and oversight of a 24/7/365 technical staff schedule to support the aircraft schedule. The VP of MCC will act as the primary focal point for all technical and maintenance issues, liaise with various stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve complex aircraft defects, and ensure that the MOC Department functions in an effective and efficient manner.
Key attributes for the role include proven experience in creating and leading successful teams, effective communication at all levels, and a clear, practical approach to understanding and solving complex technical issues. The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, have a deep understanding of aircraft regulations, and possess a fundamental understanding of aircraft maintenance and operations. A minimum of five years in a leadership role, an A&P license with type training on relevant aircraft types, and extensive experience in a similar position are required. The role also demands a demonstrated leadership in creating a highly effective MOC team, implementing effective processes, and ensuring staff are trained to meet the necessary standards.
