About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Maintenance Control Center to play a pivotal role in providing maintenance support services to the Operations Control Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the resolution of daily unscheduled maintenance events, coordinating various maintenance activities, and ensuring the timely return to service of aircraft. This leadership position demands effective communication, collaboration, and oversight of a 24/7/365 technical staff schedule to support the aircraft schedule. The VP of MCC will act as the primary focal point for all technical and maintenance issues, liaise with various stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve complex aircraft defects, and ensure that the MOC Department functions in an effective and efficient manner.
Key attributes for the role include proven experience in creating and leading successful teams, an in-depth knowledge of aircraft regulations, and a deep understanding of aircraft structures, engines, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a fundamental understanding of aircraft maintenance and operations, hold an A&P license with type training on relevant aircraft types, and possess a minimum of five years in a leadership role. They should be a clear thinker, adept at understanding complex technical issues, and capable of providing guidance under pressure. The role also requires the development of standards, metrics, and procedures to measure the effectiveness of the MOC team, as well as the establishment of minimum training standards for department staff.
