The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and fostering strong relationships with key financial advisors and brokerage firms. This role involves leading a sales team in wholesaling and providing point-of-sale support for life insurance products, including life annuity and long-term care insurance. The VP of National Sales will be expected to lead, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Sales Directors, establish sales strategies, and ensure the team meets individual and collective sales goals. The position also requires the development and implementation of comprehensive sales strategies, market analysis, and frequent travel to meet with financial advisors and attend industry events.
Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management within the life insurance industry, with a proven track record of leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets. Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills are essential, as is a strategic, data-driven approach to sales. A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required, along with a Series 6 registration. CLU and ChFC designations are a plus. The role demands a deep understanding of life insurance products and the ability to provide exceptional support to financial advisors. The ideal candidate will be adept at market analysis, and reporting, and will have proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
