About the Role The Company is in need of a Vice President of Risk and Quality to oversee the executive management and performance of its risk and quality operations. This senior leadership role is both operational and client-facing, requiring the successful candidate to have a high degree of expertise in designing and implementing risk management, safety, and quality and loss control services. The Vice President will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans in these areas, as well as directly managing and motivating the risk management staff. The role also involves coordinating with other leaders and departments within the organization and may include tasks such as developing content for education webinars and obtaining speakers.
Applicants for the Vice President of Risk and Quality position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting, with a strong background in medical professional risk management within an insurance carrier. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree being preferred, and certification such as CPHRM or CPHQ is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of healthcare clinical, risk management, patient safety, and quality experience, and be adept at developing and deploying safety, loss control, and risk management services to mitigate the specific risk exposures associated with healthcare systems.
