The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the commercial footprint and driving revenue growth. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with a strong background in selling commercial software, particularly in a vertical-based approach, and at least 5 years' experience in complex commercial SaaS sales. The VP of Sales will work closely with the VP of Marketing and the Leadership Team to define and execute the vertical-based sales vision and strategy, as well as maintain a growth plan to expand market share.
Key responsibilities for the VP of Sales include proactive management of the sales team, establishing and achieving revenue targets, and ensuring client success by turning customers into advocates. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and managing sales teams, be an expert in selling to VP and C-level executives, and have a strong ability to communicate the value proposition of complex SaaS technology. Collaboration with the CEO, product, and marketing teams is essential to document a sales strategy for entering and scaling in key markets. The role also involves industry research, maintaining industry relationships, and serving as a spokesperson for the company. The VP of Sales must embody an entrepreneurial spirit, be self-motivated, and demonstrate a can-do mentality, with a focus on team engagement and success.
