Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Sales include creating and communicating a strategic vision for the sales department, setting and achieving sales quotas, and establishing commission and incentive systems. The role involves interacting with internal and external executive-level management, and the ability to influence policies and procedures is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the sales process, the ability to engage senior-level executives in strategic dialogue, and a reputation as a leader with sustained performance and accomplishments. A strong background in domestic and international sales, including managing a network of sales distributors, is required. The VP of Sales will also be expected to anticipate and initiate action to address changing demands in the market and within the organization.
