The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Commercial team, defining and implementing the go-to-market strategy, setting sales targets, and driving performance metrics. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the SaaS industry and a proven track record in selling technology to commercial customers. The VP will be expected to have a hunter mindset, be comfortable with both business and high-level technical conversations, and have the ability to mentor and inspire a distributed team of sales professionals. Experience in identity access management or privilege access management is a plus, but not required.
Basic qualifications for the role include at least 10 years of experience in building and leading sales teams, with a focus on commercial customers, and a background in hypergrowth and scaling teams. The ideal candidate will have strong planning, writing, presentation, and communication skills, and a history of overachievement in sales, both direct and through partners. The role also involves representing the company at industry events and networking functions to raise brand awareness and generate new business opportunities. The VP will work closely with the GTM leadership team to define sales goals, provide coaching to first-line managers, and continue to build and scale commercial customer relationships.
