This executive will be responsible for leading best-in-class specialty clinical programs that drive value for members, providers, and payors, with a focus on enhancing member clinical outcomes and driving growth in prescription volumes and revenue. The role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of formulary and clinical strategy programs, as well as pursuing partnerships and strategies to ensure the company's position as a valued partner in the market. The successful candidate will also be tasked with driving connectivity with manufacturers, developing preferred payor agreements, and serving as a senior advisor to the executive team.
Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years' of experience in the healthcare industry and specialty pharmacy. A strong external network in specialty pharmacy and pharma, deep specialty pharmacy experience, and a proven track record of success in delivering significant clinical and financial results are essential. The role requires a leader with at least 8 years' of management experience, experience in leading sales, and a strong understanding of the natural tension between operations and strategy in the pharmacy business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thought-partner, capable of driving major enterprise-scale decisions, and will have a background in supporting RFPs with manufacturers and payors. The position demands a leader of people who can expand and elevate the performance of a multi-level team.
