This pivotal role involves working with business and executive leadership to identify and resolve complex strategic issues, overseeing the establishment of company objectives, and leading the corporate strategic planning process. The successful candidate will be responsible for linking strategic planning to operational processes, communicating strategy to key stakeholders, and proactively anticipating and addressing strategic opportunities and challenges. The role also includes assessing new business ventures and is accountable for the long-term competitiveness and sustainability of the company's businesses.
Candidates for the VP, Strategic Planning position at the company should have an MBA or equivalent, with a preference for extraordinary academic accomplishments. A background in strategic consulting and operating experience in the financial services industry is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of consulting project experience with a leading firm or a Fortune 100 strategic planning group, and a proven track record of success in strategic and tactical business initiatives. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to influence and work effectively with senior executives and board members. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and articulate the company's mission, vision, and growth strategies, including M&A opportunities.
