Job Summary The Visual District Manager will ensure the implementation of visual initiatives directed by Winston and the client are being executed consistently across store locations within a designated region. This role will be responsible for taking on a primary area of focus(s) and on point to be a key contact for the team and for the client in this area. This role will oversee a team of Field Visual Managers who are responsible for managing Field Training Associates who ensure that all field talent adheres to reviewing regular reports and providing timely and actionable feedback. Each store location has a Visual Merchandiser who is managed by the Field Visual Manager and will be reporting daily Store Visit Reports and photos of work executed enhancing store presentation. This role reports to the Senior Director of Visual Merchandising. Along with regular travel, those in this role within the NYC area are required to report to the New York Office 2x per week.
Responsibilities:
Job Duties Lead and manage a regular schedule of store teams and visitations to inspire, coach, and develop the team in enhancing store presentation and delivering the best store experience along with supporting a client-centric environment. Lead and manage a team of Field Visual Managers to inspire, coach, and develop the VMs in delivering the best store experience and support a client-centric environment to drive sales at retail.Conduct weekly touch bases with Field Visual Managers to review challenges and opportunities within the region.Train new Field Visual Managers on their role and responsibilities and manage ongoing training to create a bench of talent.Engage in direct contact with the client store manager for feedback/resolution of any issues that may arise.Support the regional management retail team by providing feedback on the implementation of visual merchandising directives.Assist in the preparation of monthly client recaps to monitor the progress with suggestions for evolving change, as necessaryPrepare stores for senior management visits by partnering with the regional management retail team to ensure the store team is poised to represent Winston and the location is merchandised to standard.Travel with each FVM every quarter and meet with Winston Visual Merchandisers and evaluate the work being performedWork in tandem with the Regional Management Retail team to lead and develop a field team that continually represents the Winston brand to the highest degree. Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding the visual performance of the field Collaborate with management to develop and deliver coaching relevant to the clients directive.Work as a liaison between the client and regional management to continually boost the performance of the field team using feedback from the client.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience 3+ years of regional management experience within a department, specialty, or retail chain.Experience managing a team of 40 or more people.Experience working cross-functionally in a team.Experience managing a client within an agency a plus.Knowledge, skills, and abilities Friendly, energetic, personable demeanor, passion for finding and managing great talent.Strong work ethic; reliable and committedGoal driven, with an ability to multi-task and problem solveStrong leadership, organization, written and verbal communication skillsFlexible, adaptable, dependable and trustworthy to work independentlyAble to travel up to 15 days a month planned weeks out for store visits Monday - FridayIntermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, and email), able to use Wi-FiWilling to learn new proprietary systems of WinstonAble to lift and carry up to 25 lbsAt Winston, we are ALL IN!
