Location: East Boston, MA (Hybrid) The Mission of the Role: The mission of the Vice President of Finance is to ensure financial compliance, provide decision support, and develop strategy for our financial future.
Job Responsibilities: Manage our accounting and finance team, cultivating a team of A-players.Sit on the leadership team of the business, taking part in steering the ship of the overall business.Oversee monthly financial statement review with leadership and ownership.Lead the team to timely and accurate month-end close and annual review.Negotiate business insurance and other administrative functions.Work with your team to ensure successful ongoing management of ERP system.Drive budget discipline company-wide, while assisting teams in performing ROI analyses.Planning for the business' financial needs, including owning our banking relationship.Oversee all financial regulatory compliance.Qualifications: 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.Experience within a consumer goods or manufacturing environment strongly preferred.Experience with 3 tier system strongly preferred.1-3 years audit experience.CPA strongly preferred.Exceptional in analytics working with the MS Office suite, Google's G-suite, and various syndicated data sources to analyze and report on the business.Strong management and cross-functional leadership skills as this role has management responsibility and sits on the Downeast management team.What we offer: Unlimited paid time offPaid holidays401k with 4% company matchHealth and dental insuranceCompany provided short-term disability insuranceComputer StipendCompany-wide celebrations, including a summer offsite and holiday partyCider allowance (how big is your fridge)About Downeast Cider: We aspire to build an enduring company with a world-class brand, known as an extraordinary place to work.
