Your role at Baxter:
The Warehouse Supervisor, Operations, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless execution and efficiency of our Logistics Center's daily operations. This includes overseeing the receiving (inbound process) and shipping (air & maritime) activities, maintaining facility equipment, and managing breakdown activities. Your ability to lead, coordinate, and determine the best course of action will be essential in providing timely, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

What you'll be doing:
Oversee daily shift operations, including assigning work to Group Leaders and hourly associates, maintaining daily activity Accountability Boards, and conducting Tier Meetings.
Ensure timely and accurate shipment of orders and processing of product receipts, maintenance discards, and sample areas.
Train new and current employees on GMP, job skills, departmental practices, work-rules, EHS practices, and equipment use, ensuring alignment with the BAXU module.
Maintain quality output of shifts by adhering to quality standards and providing productivity statistics to management on a monthly basis or as required.
Assist the Operations Manager in minimizing warehouse expenses through diligent supervision of overtime, warehouse damages, and supply usage, aiming to achieve the operating budget.
Negotiate and purchase packaging and shipping supplies.
Ensure compliance with the PRGLC EHS Programs and the Quality Manual.
Lead Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events within areas of responsibility to drive continuous improvement.
Foster a lean culture in Operations through 6s, Tier Meetings, Accountability Boards, VSMs, and other continuous improvement activities.
Identify and address unsafe behaviors, recommending safety measures to the appropriate department.
Investigate and resolve operational problems effectively.
Apply analytical skills and quality control procedures, including basic engineering calculations, to maintain high standards.
Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in all tasks.
What you'll bring:
BA degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Management is preferred.
Five years of experience in logistics, warehousing, and distribution management, with a preference for Lean Enterprise initiatives experience (5's initiatives, value stream mapping). Between two and five years of supervisory experience.
Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
Proficiency with computers and various software applications, including mainframe systems, spreadsheets, and word processing.
Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating initiative and analytical abilities.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple ongoing issues, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior management.
Exceptional analytical skills and mathematical abilities for technical analysis and problem-solving.
