EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is actively seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our Water Systems Engineering Department. We are looking for an experienced professional in water and sewer pipeline and pumping station design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record preparing and reviewing water and sewer design plans, specifications, and cost estimates, as well as obtaining environmental permits and provide assistance during construction. A professional engineer (PE) license and a background in performing design reviews on public agency projects in Maryland is desired but not required.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and managing water and sewer pipeline and pumping station design projects. You will be responsible for:
Design and rehabilitation of water and sewer pipelines and pumping stations and related projects. Preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications. Applying for and obtaining environmental permits. Provide construction administration services. Identifying and resolving design-related challenges, drafting, and reviewing project-related correspondence, and coordinating with external agencies, including the Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and city/county agencies. Participating in public meetings and hearings. CORE REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this role, candidates must possess: A bachelor's degree in engineering (civil or environmental preferred) engineering 3+ years of experience in water/sewer pipeline and pumping station design review Hydraulic modelling experience will be a plus. Knowledge of local codes and water and sewer design requirements Strong project management, written, and verbal communication skills. U.S. citizenship or Green Card immigration resident status in the United States
