Job Summary:
We are looking for Legal Counsel with significant experience in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy projects in the U.S., with a primary focus on drafting and negotiating engineering, procurement, and construction ("EPC"), subcontractor, and supply agreements, to join Ferrovial Webber Energy's Legal Department reporting to the General Counsel of Webber.
The position can be located in Austin or the Woodlands, Texas.
Regular Job Duties: Comprehensive legal support throughout the lifecycle of projects from inception through final acceptance, including drafting and negotiating a variety of renewable energy project related contracts, such as EPC agreements, subcontractor and supplier agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, leases, etc. Management of legal disputes between project owners, subcontractors, suppliers, third parties, etc. General corporate housekeeping, such as preparing simple resolutions, filings, etc. Legal advice to ensure compliance with regulatory matters and internal policies. Management of relationship with external advisers. Other unlisted duties may be required. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate. Member in good standing of Texas State Bar. 5+ years of experience in the renewable and/or conventional energy industry in a top tier law firm and/or in the legal department of a leading renewable energy company. Effectively manage tasks and deadlines independently. Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure. Excellent interpersonal communication, decision-making, project management and negotiating skills. Computer proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point. Fluent in Spanish is a plus
