Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Welder position is a practical, hands-on role, centered around executing a variety of welding tasks with precision and skill. This role is perfect for someone proficient in interpreting blueprints and applying accurate welding techniques. Key responsibilities include the fabrication and repair of door frames among other items, while maintaining stringent quality and safety standards.
Dutiesand Responsibilities:
Studyand interpret blueprints or drawings for construction or repairprojects.
Performbasic welding tasks using Mig and Tig techniques.
Adjustwelding equipment to suit different materials.
Usevarious tools such as clamps, jigs, flame cutters, plasma cutters, anddrills.
Grindand polish steel to achieve the desired finish.
RequiredExperience:
Minimumof 1-3 months of related experience in welding and fabrication.
Priorexperience with various welding techniques and equipment.
RequiredEducation:
High schooldiploma or General Education Degree (GED).
DesiredQualifications:
WeldingQualification and/or Certification.
Experiencein construction and a mechanical aptitude.
Proficiencyin reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
Competencies: Abilityto work effectively as part of a team. Attentionto detail in design and execution. Dependabilityin following instructions and meeting commitments. Awarenessand adherence to safety and security procedures.
PhysicalRequirements: Regularrequirement to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers. Abilityto handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands andarms. Frequentlyrequired to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Mustbe able to talk, hear, and have good vision (close, depth perception,and ability to adjust focus). Abilityto occasionally lift and move objects up to a certain weight.
