Job Title: Welder & Fabricator Job Description
Seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and repair of large mining machinery. In this role, you will work within a large, swamp-cooled bay, addressing and repairing structural flaws that occur in heavy-duty mining excavators due to normal wear and tear. The position involves daily welding tasks on high-grade steel such as AR400 and AR500, as well as softer steel varieties. You will also be responsible for gouging out old welds and utilizing your fabricating expertise, which includes reading prints and shop drawings. Effective communication with both peers and supervisors is essential to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Hard Skills Structural Welding - Experience with thick gauge hardened steel Oxy Acetylene Torch - Proficiency in cutting steel with an oxy torch Fabricating - Daily tasks including cutting, bending, fitting, and grinding Print Reading - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop schematic drawings Soft Skills Effective Communication - Must be able to convey information clearly with team members and supervisors Attention to Detail - Focus on precision and adherence to specifications is crucial Job Type

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Mesa, Arizona.
Work Environment
The work takes place in a large bay equipped with swamp cooling and industrial fans to ensure a comfortable environment. The bay features a large roll-up door and is mostly sealed from external elements.
