General Description
The Wire Transfer Technician is responsible for performing operational support duties of the Wire TransferDepartment. Effectively process wire transfer instructions through the Wire Transfer System. Responsible foraccurate initiation, verification and releasing of Fedwire and SWIFT payments (incomings and outgoings) andbetween financial institutions to meet the established cutoff times. Ensure compliance with the Federal Reserveguidelines and all applicable laws and regulations. Monitors the status of wires including the OFAC queue, secureappropriate approvals and release wires according to established guidelines. Investigates and researchesinvestigations, claims and disputes, and suspicious or fraudulent transactions in accordance with state and federalregulations. Adheres to department guidelines, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements governing WireTransfer Operations while maintaining maximum level of accuracy, quality, timeliness of work and providingoptimum customer service and satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:Process incoming/outgoing wire transfers at the request of customers.
:Analyzethe details of the transaction
:Ensurethe appropriate accounts are debited/ credited.
:Review, transmitand processwires from different Exception Queues, as applicable.
:Ensure that the transactions are preformed correctly to avoid errors.
:Initiate wire investigations at the request of customers or banks.
:Ensurecustomers inquiries are addressed timely andaccurately.
:Reports exceptions to Department Supervisor.

Education
Bachelors degree completed from an accredited college or university.
Experience
Two:to:three:year previous banking operations experience, payment processing experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
