Core Job Responsibilities:
o Maintain, clean and organize both yard locations daily
o Daily inspection of equipment and small tools at Main yard
o Receive equipment coming back to the yard for maintenance
o Keep bins (at both yards) clean and organized
o Perform maintenance and minor service on company owned equipment and small tools
o Operate a dump truck with trailer to deliver goods when needed
o Load trailers for drivers for next day deliveries
o Reserve equipment for superintendents or foreman for next day pick up
o Keep inventory of small equipment and tools that go out to the field
o Put all tools away, park equipment, mark off safety hazards or work areas
o Clean spare vehicles twice a month, gas them up and take them for service as needed
o Back up driver o
o All other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bilingual - English and Spanish Knowledge of construction or heavy equipment is a plus Be proactive with issues pertaining to the yard, equipment repairs and provide solutions Exhibit strong teamwork, written and verbal communications skills Load and unload equipment or Cargo not requiring a two-man operation Reliable and consistent attendance is a MUST Strong follow thru is a MUST Attention to detail is a MUST Safety is a MUST
Education & Experience
•High School Diploma or trade school certification
•Valid Driver's License
•Operate Skid Steer, Mini Ex, Dingo, Power buggy to load and offload trailers is a plus
•John Deere and Toro experience preferred
Physical Requirements
•Work environment is consistent with that of construction or heavy equipment yard and repair shop
•Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
•Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping
Work Environment
Field and Yard environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust and dirt.
Monday- Friday 5:00 AM- 1:30 PM and OT as needed
