Summary
This Utility driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck. Trucks driven include but are not limited to belly dumps, dump truck, roll offs and semi-tractor truck with attached trailers.
Job Description Maintains a safe and clean working vehiclePerforms pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicleUnderstands and practices operating as prescribed in Athens Services Safety RulesImmediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls before attempting serviceParticipates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and safety meetingsWorks closely with Supervisors to improve efficiencies & identify problem or unsafe actsNotifies Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damagePerforms other duties as assignedAttaches and removes pup trailers, belly dump & side dump trailers, transfer trailers and tilt/transport trailers to truck as neededMonitor various gauges during operation of vehicleUnrolls truck tarp to cover loads when requiredShuttle trucks within the yard Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDValid Class C Driver's LicenseMinimum of six (6) months experience in a heavy labor roleAcceptable driving record. (H-6 printout will be requested)Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations Preferred Qualifications Bilingual English / SpanishWork experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industryForklift certified Physical/Environmental Demands: Physical:
