Position Title Administrative Support Specialist, College of Pharmacy Category Administrative Position Number TBD Posting Number S0000773 Location Chicago/Schaumburg Open Date 03/11/2021 Close Date Yes Job Type Full-Time Working Hours Position Summary The Program Specialist will assist the College of Science, Health & Pharmacy in achieving goals centered around student, alumni and preceptors. This position serves project lead for multiple iniatives, including events, information management and outreach, and is focused on student support, alumni engagement, and experiential education initiatives.
This is a full-time, exempt administrative position located primarily in Schaumburg with some duties a the downtown campus. This position reports to the Dean.
Limited evening and weekend hours are required to facilitate services and events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Ability to lead and complete project-based initiatives, compile and confidentially maintain student information, organize and oversee multiple recurring tasks.
Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelts core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook .
Years of Experience Required 5 Required Education Masters Degree Certification/Licensure Required Minimum Qualifications Please refer to knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Masters Degree or Certified Pharmacy Technician with Bachelors degree and minimum of three years of full time pharmacy experience.
Preferred Qualifications Previous work in an education setting with experience in managing projects and/or planning events.
Equipment Operated Basic office equipment (desktop computer, copier/ multi-function device, fax and telephone).
Working Conditions Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 30 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Moderate level of stress. Occasional travel within the local or regional setting may be required.

Assist with organization of student activities.
Provide support for major College of Science, Health and Pharmacy events.
Manage Deans Academic Achievement Program.
Develop and maintain cohort photo and contact lists.
Support Pharmacy laptop loaner program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Percentage Of Time 40 Duty and Responsibility Experiential Education:
Support data collection and management of student rotation requirements and associated documentation ( Licenses, Immunizations, Certifications, e-Tech agreements, absence forms).
Maintain database of Affiliation Agreements for rotation sites and monitor renewal deadlines.
Schedule and input documentation of Clinical Specialists rotation site visits.
Perform other duties as assigned
Percentage Of Time 40 Duty and Responsibility Office of the Dean
Manage annual Affiliate Faculty appointments by Administrative Council
Develop and maintain alumni contact lists.
Develop and conduct regular outreach to alumni.
Create and support College Newsletter.
Assist faculty in limited tasks related to course administration/technology
Other duties as assigned
