DescriptionPart-time Admitting Representative.Patient RegistrationWorks under the supervision of the Admitting Supervisor. Responsible for patient's registration duties, verifies insurance eligibility, ensure the accuracy of selecting the financial/plan code. Ensure all admission forms are signed by patient; the service is authorized if applicable and obtains other information needed for billing and collection. Collects co-payment and co-insurance amount.Scans all documents required scanning. Maintains a minimum daily productivity goal of 20-25 patient registrations (admit & pre-admit) per day and performs other duties and projects as assigned. Other job duties require PBX handling in coming calls and codes.RequirementsAdmitting Representative able to handle high patient volume in the E.R.Insurance Knowledge of verification and eligibility.Knows consent forms and how to explain them. BLS Required. Excellent customer service a must.
