About the Role The Company is seeking a Business Development Director with a focus on manufacturing. The successful candidate will be tasked with the development and management of new customer relationships, with a strong emphasis on meeting revenue targets. This role requires the ability to create and execute strategies for new business opportunities, accurately predict and deliver on revenue goals, and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers at all levels. The Business Development Director will also be responsible for timely and effective communication with both current and potential customers, as well as the generation and management of quotes and documentation.
Applicants for the Business Development Director position at the company should have a BS/BA in business management or the sciences, a minimum of 3 years' sales/sales management experience in related industries, and at least 5 years in a business development or similar role. The role demands a high level of problem-solving, adaptability, and a proven track record of customer service and relationship management. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. A key aspect of the role is the ability to champion cross-functional communication and to continuously improve product knowledge and selling skills.
