Job Title: Chemistry Supervisor
Description:
The Chemistry Supervisor supervises operations and experiments within the laboratory. They will additionally oversee and provide technical direction to the laboratory staff, as well as manage lab safety and maintains records and inventory.
Must Haves:
1. NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
2. minimum 4 years of clinical lab experience with NYS license
3. 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience within chemistry
Job responsibilities:
1. Manages chemistry and special chemistry
2. Ensures proper staff training.
3. Performs staff competency assessments.
4. Responsible for proper staffing and contingency planning.
5. Monitors inventory control, anticipates needed supplies and ensures timely ordering, receipt and proper storage of supplies.
6. Conducts supervisory review of documentation.
7. Ensures proper operation of all equipment. Contacts technical support when necessary and maintains service reports.
