The CFO will be a key member of the Executive Team, responsible for translating strategic initiatives into efficient finance systems. This role requires a collaborative and results-oriented leader with a positive, can-do attitude, and a management style that fosters a culture of teamwork and transparency. The CFO will provide executive leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and investment priorities, and will work closely with the Chief People & Operations Officer and the Chief of Advancement to ensure the integration of best-in-class human resource practices and support the organization's revenue strategies.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional and progressive executive leadership experience, with a strong background in non-profit finance, accounting, and budgeting. They should be adept at managing financial operations, including the preparation of financial reports for the Executive Team, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors. Experience with foundation and government grant budgeting and reporting is essential. The CFO will also be responsible for the management of the finance and accounting staff, including hiring, performance management, and staff development. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will be a mission-oriented individual with a proven track record in a similar non-profit setting, capable of providing the vision and leadership necessary to ensure the organization's financial strength and transparency.

They should have a deep understanding of non-profit financial management, including compliance with financial regulations, and be able to effectively communicate financial information to a diverse audience. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. The CFO will be expected to start in the summer of 2024 and should be prepared for a rigorous interview process that includes phone and video interviews with various stakeholders.
