Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a BS or MS in Finance or Accounting, an MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree, with a minimum of 10 years' of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years' in a senior financial management role within higher education. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial strategy development, cost management, and operational improvement, and possess strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Experience with financial systems and tools is essential, and a background in working with a Board of Trustees is highly valued. The CFO will also be involved in institutional risk assessment, insurance management, and will be the primary liaison for all financial matters with external entities.
