About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief Product Officer (CPO) to lead the product strategy and development for its streaming video services, with a strong focus on subscription-based models. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and creating exceptional user experiences across mobile and TV platforms, while ensuring compliance with regulations such as COPPA. Key responsibilities for the CPO include developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy, leading cross-functional teams to design and launch innovative products, and overseeing the entire product lifecycle. The role also involves collaborating with marketing and sales teams to optimize consumer subscription and advertising models, as well as managing relationships with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and Digital Rights Management (DRM) providers.
Applicants for the CPO position at the company should have a proven track record in product management and leadership within the streaming video or subscription industries. A strong understanding of SVOD companies and niche SVOD platforms, experience with consumer subscription and advertising models, and familiarity with mobile and TV platform ecosystems are essential. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of video encoding, streaming protocols, and experience with Online Video Platforms (OVPs) and video-specific Content Management Systems (CMS). Expertise in interaction design, strong analytical skills, and experience with AI/ML technologies related to content recommendation engines are also required.
