Hourly Pay: $15.00; non-tipped
Schedule: Mon-Sun 6a-2:30p, 2p-10:30p or 10p-6:30a
Location: Columbus Airport (CMH Shuttle Services); 24/7 operation
The Spirit of the Position:
The Lot Dispatcher will create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients. Manages drivers to provide quality, safe, and efficient transportation of customers promptly.
Responsibilities: Assign shuttle buses and routes to drivers Ensure drivers receive breaks and lunches while maintaining service Answer phone and assist customers in a dignified and respectful manner Coordinate with utility crew and maintenance to transport shuttles to and from maintenance Complete all required paperwork Work with Supervisors in the field to move drivers when necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient operation Coordinate with drivers and utility crew to fuel shuttles Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers and utility crew Ensure policy and procedures, as well as the Union Contract, are being followed Document all witnessed safety violations as well as all observed hazards. Report possible hazards to the appropriate department to mitigate said hazard Ensure compliance with all credentials, legal, employment, and labor policy matters Obtain and maintain required medical certification for driving purposes Assist in driving and field supervision when necessary Additional duties as assigned by management or incorporated at a later date Experience: Strong customer service skills and abilities. Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude). Ability to work independently and multi-task. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization and outside customers and clientele. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness. Skills: Willingness to be flexible and work multiple facility locations. Ability to handle challenging and, at times, emotionally charged situations. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Physical Demands: Standing and walking for extended periods (95 to 100% of the time) Lifting and moving parking equipment Sweeping and changing signage when needed. No sitting is allowed unless on break and off property.
