Construction Materials Field Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION • Traveling from to sites within an hour and a half radius of Mount Laurel, NJ
• Routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing
• Becoming familiar with reading and understanding applicable construction plans and specifications
• Preparation and submission of daily reports
• Interact with clients, contractors, and other design professionals
• Attendance at job site related meetings
• Performance of testing in our soils and construction materials testing laboratories
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test
• Personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities
• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Organization and multi-tasking ability
• A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Construction-related training or technical training desirable
• Certifications in Concrete and Soil desirable
