Charles River CFO, Inc. seeks to add an experienced Controller to our core business. In this capacity, the position can be part-time, full-time, or on an interim basis. CRCFO is expanding and we need someone with 10+ years of experience working as a Controller in an organization. Public company experience is preferred.
Working as an embedded part of our client's organization, you will consult as the primary accounting leader for each client, becoming the "go-to" Controller for both its staff and leadership. The Controller directs and coordinates the accounting and financial reporting functions and ensures compliance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations; interprets and reports the results of operations; coordinates external audits and reviews; assists with the preparation of the annual budget and board materials; assists with legal issues.

What you'll do:
Manage the preparation and filing of all reports filed with the SEC Coordinate annual financial audits and quarterly reviews with an external CPA firm Implement and maintain adequate accounting and internal controls as well as effective disclosure controls and procedures Coordinate the Company's annual internal control audit and risk assessment Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results Assist with the preparation of materials and presentations for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors Manage the Treasury function and cash projection forecast for VRA Assist with budgeting and financial planning What we're looking for: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or similar CPA with Big 4 experience preferred SEC Reporting, IPO, and SPAC experience highly desirable Progressive experience in senior finance leadership roles Ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and solve problems Join Us
