You are looking for a Job Summary The Controller is responsible for managing the company's financial and accounting operations.
This includes overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supervising financial staff.
The Controller ensures the accuracy of financial reporting and provides strategic financial insights to the leadership team.
Responsibilities and Duties Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or issuesPerform financial analysis to support decision-making processes and provide insights into the company's financial performance Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts, monitor variances, and provide recommendations for cost-saving opportunities Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking institutions Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's degree preferred) CPA designation strongly preferred Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role Experience in the automotive industry and industrial equipment Strong knowledge of financial concepts, debits/credits, account reconciliation, double-entry bookkeeping, regulatory reporting, financial report writing, financial analysis, general ledger accounting, payroll, and account analysis Proficient in using accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel) Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner Proven leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team Bilingual Spanish & English Powered by JazzHR
