Summary
Reporting to a County Executive or Department/Agency Head, the Data Analyst/Senior Project Manager, is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of an entire project, initiative, or other program - achieving the cost, schedule, and quality objectives of the effort. The Data Analyst/Senior Project Manager must be able to work independently on multiple efforts simultaneously and build strong, interagency/interdisciplinary teams.
Essential Duties
Data Analyst/Senior Project Manager must develop a plan of action to get a project completed, working across departments to ensure their needs and wants are included within the confines of the project and budgetary restrictions.
Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs.
Host project meetings with team members, clients, and managers.
Conduct research, data collection and data analysis.
Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members.
Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
Communicate with elected officials and administrative persons at all levels of government.
Collaborate with business and project partners.
Prepare and distribute reports and updates, including providing public presentations.
Maintains required project files and records.
Additional responsibilities may be supplemented based on the specific work requirements and initiatives to be assigned.
Qualifications
The Data Analyst/Senior Project Manager must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and have substantial work experience in managing projects. Graduate studies related to business, governmental affairs, management, technology, logistics, or other related fields are desired. The hiring Executive/Director may waive educational requirements if an applicant demonstrates substantial and relevant life experiences and relevant skills.
The Data Analyst/Senior Project Manager must demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communications, have the ability to work within the County's office automation/data/ computer applications, administrative practices, and regulatory requirements. The ability to travel within the County to attend meetings, including attendance at occasional evening and weekend events is required.
Fluency in American English is required, and multilingual/multicultural skills are desired.
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Excel, report writing and report presentation software is required.
Additional Information
The Data Analyst/Senior Project Manager is an exempt, salaried position. Limited remote/hybrid and/or flexible work schedules may be provided at the Executive Director's discretion.
