Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant to provide advanced chairside procedures in four handed dental treatment in a dental program that serves children with and without developmental disabilities in the Nisonger Dental Program on Johnstown Road; performs chairside procedures; provides assistance to the dentist; provides indirect patient treatment; maintains inventory of supplies and materials; maintains equipment; performs general clerical and outreach tasks.

Minimum Education Required: Per Classified Civil Svc Specs
HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. Dental X-Ray Machine Operator permit from the Ohio State Dental Board. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
