The Dental Hygienist provides dental hygiene services to Dental and Oral/Maxillofacial surgical patients in an ambulatory care setting. Provides clinical support for the overall operations of the Dental and Oral Surgery sessions.

Serves as the first point of contact when patients visit the Dental and Oral/Maxillofacial Clinic. Screens patients, educates patients about diets and how it impacts oral health, and counsel patients during and after treatments. Performs minor dental procedures, e.g. cleaning the teeth and gums, removes plaque and fix dentures.
