Position Summary
The Director, Total Rewards and Operations will be responsible for the continued strategic planning, design, and implementation of a comprehensive Total Rewards and System Operation strategy. This role will oversee the management and development of total rewards programs and system operations including health and welfare benefits, base pay, incentive pay, equity, HRIS and analytics. The Director, Total Rewards and Operations will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of programs, policies, and procedures to ensure they are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements.

Essential Functions
• Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive total rewards strategy that is aligned with the business strategy and growth trajectory of the company.
• Act as subject matter expert in regard to insurance programs such as life, disability and health insurance plans; and savings plans inclusive of 401(k), Roth and other deferred compensation programs.
• Analyze and deliver reporting and cost projections to support the recommendation of benefit plan changes, adding new benefits and ensuring program governance.
• Maintain expertise and continual assessment and research of market trends and recommend considerations for change to current programs by building business cases and calculating the impact on the team and budgets.

• Ensure the maintenance of a competitive compensation and benefits infrastructure to ensure that the company attracts and retains the best and brightest talent.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of competitive compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity incentives, and executive compensation.
• Utilize data analytics and benchmarking to make informed decisions about the total rewards evolving landscape and regularly review and adjust programs to remain competitive.
• Ensures timely filings of all required compliance reporting for federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
• Oversees the HRIS team's delivery of new solutions and enhances current processes to deliver new capabilities to employees and business partners within a complex organizational structure.
• In conjunction with HR and leadership, develop HR systems strategy and roadmaps. Leads implementation of various initiatives to accomplish strategy.
• Leads, develops and maintains a Workday governance structure aligned with business processes.
• Ensure desktop procedures are developed, maintained and adhered to by the team.
• Participates in the retirement plan committee.
• Other special projects and duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 15+ years of progressive Total Rewards and Operations experience with an emphasis on two or more of the following areas: Benefits, Compensation and HRIS
• 5+ years leadership experience in a total rewards and operations role
• Experience with HRIS implementations, configurations and business processes including peripheral human resources platforms
• Experience with a publicly traded company
• CCP, CEBS and/or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
• Demonstrated experience with the design, implementation and communications of total rewards programs including working with vendors and engaging in the RFP process.
• Workday experience highly beneficial

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Strong business acumen with a deep understanding how total rewards strategy impacts other human resources activities and business strategy; remains current with the current trends in the external labor market, total rewards and Workday best practices.
• Strong technical capabilities with the ability to engage in strategic discussions with internal clients throughout the organization and third-party vendors.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively across all areas of the business
• Problem solver mindset with the ability to multi-task and meet constantly changing deadlines
• Advanced computer skills, including mastery of Workday, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of employee benefits plan, company policies, and benefits-related state and federal laws and regulations (e.g., Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)).
• Strong knowledge and experience with FLSA and other state and federal laws and regulations regarding wage and hour
• Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to Workday.
• Ability to influence vendors and internal partners translating technical or strategic ideas into information the audience can understand.
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions
• Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team

Working Environment / Physical Environment
• This position works hybrid (combination on-site and remote) in El Segundo, CA
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity award. The annual base pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.

$180,000 (entry-level qualifications) to $234,000 (highly experienced)
