Employment Professional Salary: $20.23/hourJob Type: Full TimeLocation: La Plata Duties Include but not limited to: Identify employment opportunities with the people supported based on individualized assessment information through assessments and inventories.Conducts individualized job development by speaking with employers in the community about the person's abilities and desires to obtain employment.Assist participants in preparing for interviews, completing job applications, and developing job-related skills.Develop positive relationships with businesses, community agencies, other departments, and outside vendors.Conduct assessments to identify accommodations) for each person.Provide discovery, job development, follow along support and ongoing job supports to the people supported at their places of employment, including job coaching and advocacy as needed.Provide transportation to and from places of employment, as needed.Complete accurate and timely daily documentation of all employment services. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GEDAbility to lift 50 lbs. or moreClean Driving Record with 2 years driving experienceExperience working with disabled adults preferredAssociate Degree PreferredBasic Computer SkillsFlexibility to adapt to the needs of the participants and demands of the job.DDA, LTSS and ICM experience is a plus Requirements:Successful completion of Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) within 6 months of hire. Successful completion of the Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) certification within 12 months of hire.Minimum of 2 years experience providing employment services to people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
