The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing an innovative strategic vision, overseeing all operations and programs, and maintaining a dynamic workplace culture. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong business acumen, industry expertise, and a commitment to member development and engagement. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, serve as the face of the organization, and be the ultimate authority on leadership, vision, and strategy execution.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include executive leadership, strategic vision, operations and financial management, and board and member engagement. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years' executive leadership experience, be a stellar communicator, and possess the gravitas and credibility to represent the organization. They should be results-driven, with a proven track record of leading an organization to measurable success, and demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The role also involves external relations, resource development, and may require moderate to significant travel for meetings, retreats, and industry events. A bachelor's degree is required, and the candidate should be prepared to work remotely and engage in a demanding yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the water and wastewater industry.
