The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strategic plans that align with the global priorities of the organization. This includes overseeing the development and evaluation of programs, ensuring operational excellence across various functions such as fundraising, finance, administration, and communications, and working in collaboration with the international headquarters to execute fundraising operations and the national communications strategy. The Executive Director will also be tasked with managing the overall operations of the US site and leading the organization to the next stage of growth.
A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, or a combination of a Bachelor's and relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in a senior leadership or management role, with experience in animal welfare, non-profit, or a similar environment. Proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management skills, particularly within a non-profit setting, are essential. The role demands an individual who can effectively lead and expand a performance- and outcomes-based organization, as well as the ability to develop and operationalize strategies for growth. The Executive Director will play a key part in the company's mission to advocate for a world where animals are treated with respect, empathy, and understanding.
