The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and day-to-day management of the organization, including overseeing a significant budget, and a large team. This role involves fostering a culture of collaboration, engaging with the Board of Directors on strategic matters, and driving membership and revenue to ensure the organization's financial stability and mission impact. The Executive Director will also be the primary point of contact on all legal matters, represent the organization in the legal industry, and manage all aspects of external relations and communications.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of eight years' experience in a senior leadership role, with a proven track record in the legal industry. The role requires deep knowledge of legal operations and a well-developed network of contacts, as well as previous experience in managing a significant team and working with a Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have a background as an Executive Director, Legal Operations Lead, Chief of Staff, or In-House/Law Firm attorney, and hold a Bachelor's or advanced degree (JD or MBA is a plus). Key qualifications include excellent communication skills, the ability to engage with individuals at all levels, and a commitment to the core values of the organization, which include transparency, service, respect, adaptability, collaboration, and integrity.
